The product uses DDR memory as a storage device. Which = faster performance!
Only prob is a limit of 4 GB and it will only run at DDR200 speeds.
Useful though when we all switch to DDR2. Keep those old DDR memory some good use :)
EDIT : fixed up my wording. thanks willy.

Well, it can use *any* DDR sticks but it will only runs them at DDR200 (PC1600) speed.
I like the idea but I don't like the price (US$150) http://www.dolnetwork.com/RFD/smilies/nose.gif

the initial production run of the i-RAM will only be a quantity of 1000 cards
So very limited quantity
And the battery life is only 16 hours, so you better not keep anything important on there.

In fact, it will not lose any data unless you have a power failure lasts longer than 16 hours.
It draws power from the powersupply when the system is off.

Or if your computer is unplugged for 16 hours (like moving, or you are away on vaction, etc.)
And 16 hour+ power failures do happen.
