Anyone done this before? What are the procedures? What do I need? Do you get 100%? How long does it takes for the first cheque to arrive? Thanks.

You get 100% of what ever you were making. But this is not there for you just to stay home and collect ei.Its in place untill you find a another job so no you can't just say im going never work again.

So let me guess your one of those guys that sucks off the system.I do know it is what you made that they go by it may not be exzactly 100% but its close. Both this and welfare need a major rework. To many people taking advantage of both.

Apparently you are jealous that you are forced to go to work everyday and slave away to make money..
You are jealous that someone could kick back and collect money, since it's such an easy life ..
I can't see any other reason for busting someones balls for losing their job other than you are jealous.. or else, why on earth would you read a thread specifically titled "How to Claim EI", when you have a "great job that pay good".. you just wanted to walk into the thread and bash people who's circumstances you don't even know.. all because you are jealous.

Are you on anything i never bashed anyone.I am sorry for the poster that did lose his job its never a easy thing. The point i was trying to make is people well some feel they don't need to work and just suck off the system.

Oh boy. Could you be more misinformed about EI? 100%. Uh not even close as somebody stated. And $413 max a week (would be around 25% of my salary) - oh, wait, I make over $48K a year, so I can collect it now, but wait until tax time, I get to pay it all back . . . That's right, if you make more than 48K or so, plan on paying some of that EI back to the "man." EI is hardly a "reward for laziness" - there's nothing wrong with the EI system, except for the fact that there's a huge surplus right now and they don't know what to do with the extra $ . . . Fire those actuaries, and let them collect EI!

Well let us allow you guess that he is "one of those guys that sucks off the system"..
And allow us to guess you are one of those ignorant fools who feels the need to bash others while they are down.

Brilliant friggin point considering.. how exactly are you going to collect EMPLOYMENT insurance if you are never EMPLOYED!
Here's an idea.. mind your business and stop critizing others for things you can't even understand, but heard from a beer buddy one night.

See thats where you wrong i fully understand this.Where ei work two of the guys went on ei i could have but i opted not to yes it is seasonal work. These two guys milked off the system as long as the could.Yes there are honest people out there are have hard luck and this is who this should be for.But then there are some of take advantge.Unlike a huge number of people i do not drink so yes i have that extra cash around. This about these two is not froma 3rd source its right from the people who did it.You really need to wake up and there are people out there who do abuse the system.

I don't disagree that there aren't scammers or people who live to feed off the welfare system.. but what exactly is your purpose of coming in this thread and assuming anything about anyone here and belching on and on...
Keep it between you and your beer buddies.
