Only $5 more than the double-sided ones. Single sided are really nice for SFF or power saving systems. Double/single makes no difference speedwise with DDR (unlike SDRAM, where you want to get double sided just in case...)
Should be available everywhere soon.

Also good for S754 systems with memory limitations (i.e. DDR200 when 3 slots filled with double-sided).

hmm.. single sided DDR is just as fast as Double sided but uses less power?.. does this mean less heat?
Actually i dont think memory gives off heat does it?
but power consumption is a big one.. is this a noticable difference?

the bigger issues is on motherboards with 3 slots that can only take 2 double sided dimms.
so if you use 3 single sided dimms all with a large amount of memory you get around that limitation.

This memory would also be useful for those with the A64 Winchester core and wanting to use all 4 slots to go to 2GB of ram @ PC3200 speeds as the Winchester can only run 4 slots @ PC2700 if the ram is double sided

Sure it does... which is why they have heat spreaders available for RAM modules.

unless overclocked like crazy with crazy voltage(3.3v+) there is absolutely no need for heatspreaders. a fan blowing over the dimms would cool the bare dimms more effectively than heatspreaders.

Yeah, but the nice shiney platinum heat spreaders on my OCZ look really nice :P
I doubt heat would be much if any of an issue with any ram though..

Yeah heat isn't an issue until, as ProfessorChaos said, you overclock them sky high and especially when you put huge voltages through them. If you overclock, just by putting a high speed fan over the area your memory modules are, without heatspreaders, you'll notice that your overclocks improves quite a bit. This is just from the cooling effect on the capacitors and such around the memory modules as well.
