Might be a hot deal in a couple of weeks, but right now Chapters is accepting pre-orders for $24.60 + tax with free shipping I believe. They might have a cap on the number of pre-orders they're taking though.

At amazon.ca, the book is $24.60 (40% off) with free shipping. Chapters' prices are always higher than other retailers.

Chapters is still accepting pre-orders at 40% off in a few provinces (check the site for the list). There is no free shipping with the preorder though, you'll need to buy $39 to qualify for that.

Does anyone remember what the book was going for In-Store the day it came out last time? I know it was at least 20% off at Indigo, but i had pre-ordered it and wasn't overly concerned. Just wondering if i would save much money pre-ordering, or just not bother and pick it up the day it comes out.
Also, it comes out on the weekend, so to get it on Day-1, you would have to pay extra for the weekend drop-off.

I think it will be 20% off when it comes out, that is the price at Chapters right now when you pre-order it at the store.

Actually, amazon.ca also requires an order of over $39 for free shipping. You don't get free shipping with this book unless you add more items to reach $39.

Amazon seems to require a minimum order of $39 for free shipping.

for those who do not wish to buy from amazon or chapters keep in mind that wal-mart and costco will have this title heavily discounted.
chapters is also giving away a gift card with preorders, valid instore only, amounts range up to $1000 (the odds quickly increase as the cash value increases naturally).
also for collectors bn.com and amazon.com (not ca) have the deluxe edition for sale.

Thanks for trying, though, Natetc. If nothing else, you at least found it where you can get it for yourself cheaper :cheesygri

Get 2 from Amazon.ca a bit cheaper by buying one of those specially-marked 2L Crush pop (or possibly other kinds) from your favorite supermarket (Bought one from Galati for C$0.99 over the weekend). There is a $5-off-$30 promo code printed on the inside of the label.

Until July 8, Amazon.ca had it for 40% off, and if you chose the $5.90 express shipping, they GUARANTEE delivery on the release date which is a saturday i believe... or else it's FREE.
You can still preorder it for 40% off, but there's no guarantee anymore.
I preordered it waaaay back in december for a friend's birthday, so i had used a $5 off coupon.

Add some other item to push over 39, then just return it in-store.
Voila.
