Where is a good place to buy the Koss KSC75's/35's for people in Canada? They don't seem to be available in stores like BB/FS/The Source etc. Would like them for as cheap as possible, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Just did a little research and maybe my best bet would be to PM buy.com's $13.99 price over at headphone.com, since they have a PM policy. Not sure about the shipping though since it says it's $26 to ship to Canada by Fedex?? Although I remember awhile back I had inquired about their shipping and I think you can make a special request to have your order shipped by USPS for less, but you have to make your order by e-mail or phone. I'll probably give them a call tommorrow to find out for sure though.. if anyone knows a cheaper way to get the KSC75's let me know.

since you're in Ottawa, walk in at Bloom Microtech (http://bmtnet.com/catalog/search.php3) on Canotek Road (east end). They have the KSC75 in their catalog for Ca$18 and you'd pay no shipping. Probably special order, so allow a couple of days for them to come in.

Good luck - let us know how you fare. From what I heard, these 'phones are quite good.

BerryI might just try that, $18CAD with no shipping sounds like the better deal to me, thanks for the info.

Picked up two pairs of the KSC75 headphones today from Bloom Microtech on Canotek Rd. Yes, they actually had them in stock! No special order needed.. and they were only $18 each.

So.. do they live up to the hype? I'm no audiophile but these sound really good to my ears.. even comparable to my Sennheiser HD 580's/600's although maybe not as clear. I also don't have a proper amp(still looking for one) to drive the Sennheiser's properly to really get everything out of them so I'll leave the comparison at that. lol, look at me trying to find reasons why my $300 Sennheiser's aren't notably head/shoulders above the $18 KSC75's.. yes I think the KSC75's are that good in my opinion.. I also noticed that they sound even better when pressing them to your ears.. might be able to adjust them so they make a tighter fit.. though it might not be possible to get them tight enough by themselves to emulate the pressing to your ear sound but should be close with some adjustment. They seem really comfortable to me as well, I haven't done any rigourous activity with them or anything so far but they seem secure enough that I don't think they'll fall off.. so far I'm *very* pleased with my purchase.. they still had two on the rack at Microtech if anyone was interested. Thanks again berryb for the heads up!

P.S. When I say they're comparable to the Sennheiser's I mean in that they both get a lot of things right.. they are still distinctly different sounding headphones.

Carbon Computers (http://www.carbonation.com/sales/ipod1.html) has them for $30 CAD, which is kinda pricey. I ended up buying them in Michigan when I went shopping at an outlet mall...
