I just purchased one.
I think the stuff is shipped from Hong Kong. Free shipping promo too. I bought from this place before (through eb@y) and the stuff arrives in Vancouver in 1 week. He's got other stuff like mem card readers that seem to be reasonably priced. I bought an XD card reader size of a stick of gum, and works great.
Note the free shipping, as well as 10% off if you use coupon code 'WELCOME" . Hope you find something you like.

I don't know, but after browsing the site, this may be a small business. We probably will hurt him a lot if buying it for $1 with free shipping. So, IMO buy it only if you really need it.
Thanks for posting this hot deal anyway, good deal for those in need of one.

I have a feeling that the LED specifications are over exaggerated...
But this still looks like a good deal:
http://www.ledshoppe.com/Product/led/LE1001.htm
$20 USD for 1000 8000 mcd LEDs! Either the beam is more directional than +/- 10 degrees, or they overrated the brightness. But just $0.025 CAD per LED! Nobody can match that probably.

What you need is an extra controller card to wiggle into your slots, which adds another primary and secondary cable avaliable for you.
The item you linked to looks like its used for external hard drives or optical drives, altho I don't know how it will work as the drive will need a power source as well.. better just buy an enclosure.

I don't see why this would not work paaji, inside or outside the computer case, just connect the drive to a 12v plug if used inside. Don't expect more than 15MB/sec sustained though. This would be handy for a quick HD/optical drives diagnostic too.

that's a good price. I'd order one if I actually needed it. :) Only thing is, I find it awkward to have the USB ports off the side. Would rather prefer 2 USB ports on the back, and 1 in the front along with the media card slots. Otherwise it's kind of ugly having USB cables dangling near the front of your desk where you can reach the slots easily. If you know what I mean.
Note : It's in US dollars though.

I was looking at that item too. not sure what you're asking, but yes, of course you can use it in your car. the transmitter should work for your ipod mini since it only requires a 3.5mm jack.
as for using the usb port to charge, I'm guessing it probably outputs the same amount of power as your computer's usb, so I would guess it would also be safe for the ipod. but then the cheap price scares me, so I wouldn't put my ipod on it.
Are u guys sure this place is legit? I wouldn't want to give my payment info away and have all these charges on my account later on. They have some really good deals on interesting items though, not just a USB hub... which I've seen for $2 at CWO. how long has he/she been in operation?

Lol, all I'm looking for is one w/o a AC adapter. I got one of those Gameshark-made PS2 4-port USB Hubs from FS on the clerance table for 5.95 (org. 39.95) 1-2 years ago, which had an AC adapter (you can't expect the PS2 to grant u so much power) so I used that for a while with my old computer. Now I need one that doesn't have AC adapter, as its a real pain on the electric bill if I only need to plug in a couple more devices.

FYI -- for those that were skeptical about buying from this retailer, as long as you are paying by credit card you are safe. Those high interest rates we pay are good for something. If any un-authorized charges are on your card, you simply do a charge back to the vendor. If they can't prove you made the purchase, the Credit card company will charge everything back to retailer. If they happen to be out of business, then the credit card company absorbs the loss.
For the record, my order of 4 USB 1.1 units has also been shipped and the appropiate amount was charged to my MasterCard.

Wow it's been a long while since I posted a deal with 6 pages of responses  I'm so proud.
Glad you guys are getting it quick. Stuff from HK comes pretty quick cuz it's by air, and the HK mailmen work really fast. I heard they do 3 runs a day as opposed to once here by Canada Post.

I got mine today too. I ordered two to get the 10% off. So I paid just under $2 USD, the shipping was $13.1 HKD, so just under $2 USD.
