there is no "good" time, but the dell deals are quite good. just check the forum often and you will come across at random deals.

OK trust me, the best place to get deals on computer parts is
www.canadacomputers.com
also www.factorydirect.ca
Trust me these are the best places!!

Combine parts from those two places and you could a wicked fast computer for under 1000 bucks! like 256mb video card, 17 flat monitor, 1G of RAM, DVD burner and all the accessories
Trust me!

ive used www.cty.ca for parts and pcs before, decent place. I always tell ppl to pick up a hdd from there if they are brining it for an xbox mod :)
I get a lot better service from them than other stores ive been to, ie canada computers. They probably have the worst cs possible.

any other recommended stores?
p.s how is the "dream" system at Canada Computer in terms of feature and price? (rep wasn't helpful at all since i visited them at closing time) that range is something i'd like to grab one home, any opinions guys? thanks ! =)

I would recommend building your own computer to your specs. I'm not sure what you want to do with your computer, but if its for gaming, pretty much most the systems lack some part (mostly video card).
If you know what you want, then get it, don't get suckered into buying something else or something "better".

is it easy to build? i am thinking about it. 1st would it be cheaper if i do that? 2nd. what it be as reliable as the ones built by stores? 3rd. what happens if there is a problem?
i know i sound dumb but i am a rookie. so please understand. hehe.
