Generally twice the price.
Heres an idea.....for a quick sauce....to use with some pound cake or (plain )and whipped cream.
Take one cup of Pure Blueberry Jam ..IE..IGA Our Compliments +
1 pint of berries and cook (med low)for 10-15 minutes. Crush a few in the pot. Serve warm or cold.
Goes nicely with Vanilla ice cream.
Who loves ya baby. Booyah.

It's called "being in season" :-)
Yeah, Blueberries are here for the next few weeks. We got some of the first local crop last week and they were delicious. Our daughter loves 'em so we'll be buying a few flats to freeze. We've paid as much as $7.99 lb during Winter and $9.99 for a frozen Kilo.
The price on Blueberries has been just stupid since all the health claims came out about being an Antioxident etc.
HAVE A BERRY NICE DAY :)

It's even cheaper if you pick your own.

Duhhh yeah, I'll just go into my 10 acre backyard here in Downtown Toronto and pick them. Or better yet, I'll put 40 bucks gas in my car so I can go pick them outside of the city. Or even better yet, maybe I'll drill for my own gas so I can get that for cheaper too.

Actually they are available almost all year round....depends on shipping?
We have lots in the Maritimes and BC...
I believe we are being over charged....what the market will bear.
A bit like buying gas in Niagara Falls....gauging...tourist style etc.

Calm your ass down. Here we have actual farms that you can pick a grocery bag full for about $10. Not everyone here lives in the hell hole you call Toronto.

I second that...they seem to get a little nervy at times down in TO. There are more places than Ottawa in Canada that you can pick berries. Smarten up Jamis1979, Bordello was just making a point. The world does NOT revolve around nor mimic Toronto!
