I saw the Logitech X-530's there today for $129.99, with a huge caption saying "GET IT FIRST" under them.

I feel bad for people who wouldn't know better, and actually purchase them at that price.

FS is scum.

Well Staples.ca is selling them for $139.95...

http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?CatIds=89%2C93%2C426,427&webid=583517&affixedcode=WW

And Bestbuy.ca is selling them for $119.99

http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10055037&catid=

So even though Futureshop may very well be major crooks.. why just pick on them?

I will not buy at FS. I work for hard :cheesygri my dough, and i'm not going to go in and get hustle for a bunch of salesmen.Extra this at that, warranty. All that stuff is useless.
I like best buy. I like to browse and shop. Not what they want me to buy so they get the commission.

misinformed users...that's their own fault... the info is out there, and not hard to find...if someone isn't willing to research it...that's their own fault...remember, you don't rip someone off if they're willing to pay for it. You post a price, they openly pay for it and that's it. If they don't look around, that's their tough luck.

People buy things all the time and do lots of comparison shopping, for things that cost less than that. I don't feel it's up to the store to tell them to "go compare with other stores".

a lot of the stuff is overpriced in these stores. But seriously, that's how they do business. When you see this thing for $130 and the other one with THX, bigger volts let's say for $160 (example), then you'll get the $160 one for sure. if they put down the price to $70, everyone is just going to jump on that cuz its seriously enough for anyone and not worth the $90+tax upgrade just to get the sound a bit better.

pricematch time..
It's been in the hot deals for a few days now.

Good deal if you can find a Staples who will pricematch Canada Computers.

I have a hard enough time pricematching competitors on the Staples official list.. and they won't budge on doing stores that aren't on the list.

It's not FS fault that CanadaComputers decided to earn only $10-20. Think of it this way... Ms G said she works hard for her money. Does the company Ms G work for not try its best to earn money?

If it's wasn't for the internet and RFD we'll all be paying high prices still without knowing it.

I paid no more than $40 for my set with tax, through one of the MANY times it has been posted for a hot deal..
