What the heck is wrong with it, i uninstalled it, re-installed it, device manager says it is working properly, i have a network in my home and i'm sitting right next to it and it does not detect any available networks, the black wire and the aux wire is hooked up on the mini pci.
it was working perfectly fine yesterday, what the heck happened?
it's an intel 2200 B/G on a dell inspiron
do these things just break down over night?
i left my computer on standby power save mode, so technically windows did shut down and closed all applications.
can someone help?

yeah they just go down...

Ours will work fine for days.. or weeks.. then for some reason give us trouble, I assume it's from some kind of interference on the frequency.. but I really don't know. I just wait for it to come back.

My 600m wireless dies out once in a while. But, to get it back up again, try disabling wireless connection and then enabling it again. That gets me back online.

...did you check to see if the error may be with the router? Could try power cycling that.

i haven't checked that, however my desktop connects to it fine, albeit not through wireless, it's through ethernet connecting directly to the router.
i'll reset the router and see but i doubt that's the problem.

Iv'e been having alot of probs with mine this past 2 wks too.. I reset the router and it's fine. Not sure why.. I am using a Dlink Di-624 router, and a trendnet PCI WirelessG adapter.

WiFi is just a b1tch.. Everybody I know has some kind of issue with it at one point in time or another...

Though usually when it goes down, it comes back soon.. not this long. Sounds more like some kind of driver/software issue between the router and laptop. Wish I could be more specific, but I'm not that familiar with your setup.
