Just wondering if anyone out there has a Hyundai L90D+ / 19-Inch LCD monitor. Thinking of changing from 19" CRT to LCD

1280 x 1024 @ 8ms response time - any Pro's/Cons? :)

I went from a 19" CRT to the Hyundai L90D+ 19" LCD a couple/few months back... I couldn't be happier!!! I got mine from Fans PC in North York (it was worth the drive from Mississauga... I just timed it with a couple other errands, etc.)

I had my options narrowed down to the BenQ 937, the Hyundai.. and I think a Samsung model... but the Hyundai seemed like the best bet, and was the best price when I found it at Fans.

Check out fanspc.ca if you want to try to keep it local'ish and save shipping time/hassle.

thanks for the Link, :o 8ms looks very good for a 19" LCD. I like the fact that the screen can swivel. One thing that concerns me about this Hyundai is that a lot of customers on NCIX's forum mentioned they had dead pixels. Did you have any?

I had started a thread here (http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=171701) about the L90D+ and the Samsung 930B. I'm still undecided as well. Although NCIX forums report a lot of people getting dead pixels, if you go to a local store, ask them to open it after you buy it and hook it up to one of the PC's on display. Some places may or may not do this, but it gives you a chance to see if there are any dead pixels within the store to save you a trip.

Good idea, I'll try to convince them to set it up. Pity Futureshop doesn't sell it as that will be a good way to test it for dead pixels :D

Yup it's a popular model, especially in US I think. I say get the best deal you can get. And you cannot get the Hyundai at any of the large retailers so you can't use your gift cards and got to be *very* lucky with dead pixels. For me I am a dead pixel magnet it seems. So for me no thanks. I'd say wait for the Viewsonic VX924 if you can. :)

I asked about the dead pixel policy/gaurantee at Fans PC... and they told me 3 was the limit. I didn't bother to clarify if that meant "3" or "more than 3" to exchange it.

My Hyundai has 1 stuck pixel. It isn't dead, it's just stuck for one colour. It is completely fine except when black is displayed - one pixel will show blue instead. Perfection would be nice, but I am very happy with mine.

I think they mean we must have a minimum of 3 dead pixels before it's regarded as "defective" Last time I had 1 dead pixel and I couldn't help but look at it after I found it. So I'm not going to use any more dead pixel screen testers! :D

SushiB, then if you really want this model, i guess you should look into TD's return policies .. maybe they accept open box returns for any reason like other large retailers. Don't know but you could ask.
