I have a Fujitsu P7010, and with the S-Video slot, I recently bought a S-Video cable hoping I can plug in my laptop to the TV. But when I plugged the S-Video cable into TV/Laptop, I pressed Function-F10, but the TV screen only flickers, but does not show anything. Does anyone know whats wrong? Is it just the setting on the laptop?
A second question. When I use powerpoint on a projector (or any other program with an external screen), I am only able to get either laptop screen only, or external screen only, but not both, does anyone know how I can get that to work also?
Thanks.

I also have a Fujitsu laptop. Try setting it through Display Properties. Right click on desktop, Properties, Settings tab, Advanced button, Displays. If you connected your S-Video then you should be able to press the tab for the TV setting should be on. Set the TV as your Primary at the bottom.
I don't have the S-Video plugged in at the moment. But I think if you do, you can click on the TV setting in there to make it either just the TV or the laptop shows or it can show for both.
Hope that helps!

check if your laptop is outputting the right signal for the TV (NTFS/PAL). We are NTFS in Canada I think.

In addition to the PAL/NTSC issue, make sure that your resolution and frequency on your display is supported by the television. Some televisions only support 800x600 @ 60Hz or 1024x768 @ 60Hz.

Is there anything I can do to fix the PAL/NTSC issue?
I'm pretty sure I'm on PAL right now, is there anyway to switch to NTSC?
