I really wanted to hook up my PS2 and Gamecube to my monitor... i was wondering if any of you guys who've done this can give me some advice on which one to get?

If any of you have this Vga box, what resolution can you use to play the system? And how is the quality?

Anybody else use something different? ie: a vga box that'll hook up a ps2, gamecube & Xbox?

I just plug the video to my 9800 AIW pro. Then open ATI TV. Audio is hooked to audio card.

good thread!

I had mine hooked up to a dell 24" lcd widescreen (with component in)

The 720p games looked amazing (Like MVP Baseball 2005)
but the standard games (480p) looked way too streatched and pixelated.

Some newer cards with VIVO have component in (Which is amazing)

ANyone else try this?

Anyone else have any ideas?

Could this be because LCDs have a natural resolution and any other resolution looks like crap?

I have a Vdigi VD-Z3, which takes component inputs (from XBox or DVD player or whatever) and outputs a VGA signal which I send to either an LCD 19" flat panel or an LCD projector. It also has a switch that allows pass-through for a regular VGA signal.

It costs about $100 after shipping.

From what I read about the viewsonics nextvisions here's the deal.

NextVision4 - Simple, low viewing quality, comes with remote control, allows VGA pass through, but the video deteriorates. Retails for about 100$
NextVision5 - Pretty good viewing quality, also remote control, and also VGA pass through with a bit better quality. Retails for about 150$
NextVision6 - Very good quality, even HD, comes with component inputs, allows VGA passthrough with no deterioration, but retails for about 220$

I too was thinking about getting one of these V-Digi's. I noticed that they roughly go for $59 on Ebay... Just wondering what your personal opinion is on this? are you happy with it? How's the resolution?
