i have a minidv camcorder.. i want transfer the video into my PC.. how?

Assuming your mobo supports firewire(I don't know if it does or not). If it doesn't support firewire then you would have to buy an expansion card.

You just plug the camcorder into the PC via the firewire port. Then use a video editing program to capture the video. Windows Movie Maker comes free with WinXP(assuming you have WinXP).

Pinnacle Studio 9 is the program you may need.

It's just plug and play through the firewire under WinXP. Software as said before is included with XP (with apple too).
