Ok i saved some files from hard drive to dvd+r then i burned it. After couples of weeks i need those files back in my computer. But now when i try to copy the files message comes up saying file is corrupt. Why is that because before i burn it i checked all the files they were fine. But now i am not able to copy them back to hard drive. I checked couples of other dvd+r as well same message again. I am using LG 4163B burner and discs are Fuji MIJ. Which i assume is a good media. Any suggestions thanks

Assumption is the mother of all.... ugh, yeah.

Sounds like a burn gone bad... you could try the burned media on another reader to eliminate the possibility of incompatibility, otherwise you'll probably need to try and recover/blindread the files with a program, or obtain another copy of the data if possible.

Lesson: check for data integrity -after- burning if you value your data, especially on media that you're not 100% sure with.

Could be the burner gone bad, it's not like impossible to happen.

I guess you missed my post of a fuji mij that had several hundred (well 2k+ now) POF? Nothing good about this media at all.

Use cdcheck to slowly try and extract the files to your hd. That does work most of the time.
