***OLD STUFF***

starting TOMORROW, BB will be selling the Sony Cybershot 4.1 MP digital camera for $330; stooples online is currently selling
the same for ~$330.

EDIT 06/10/05: stooples has dropped their online price to $300 ... so no PM online... but an instore PM is still possible...

so if u want it:
1) go to stooples B&M instore TODAY and buy the item at REGULAR price
2) return to stooples B&M on FRIDAY w/ BB flyer/printout in hand and claim a PM on item
3) Do NOT try to PM this before the sale takes effect on FRIDAY! Follow the above directions!

(>>> sorry greenieweenie, i kinda "copied" ur format of PMing steps again... hope u don't mind >_> )

BB ($300): Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S60 4.1MP Digital Camera (http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0926INGFS10059028&langid=EN#)

stooples ($330): Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S60 Digital Camera, 4.1MP, 3x Optical and 2x Digital Zoom (http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?CatIds=,&webid=597454&affixedcode=WW)

http://www.bestbuy.ca/multimedia/products/large/10059028_top.jpg

so after PM it'll be ~$285 + tax for Sony 4.1 MP cybershot!

BUT, remember that u can use COUPONS!!!! :D (plz refer to below for choice of coupons + description)

in THIS case, the PM price before or after the subtotal is still >>$200... thus i believe u should be able to use the $30off200 coupon ( and if not, use the $20off200 coupon ;) ).... after coupon discount, it should be ~$255 + tax!!!

ok... again, i do NOT make any claims that the above :arrowu: stacking of coupons + a PM will work out... so plz don't flame me if it doesn't ... ;p

This is not a bad camera at all for that price. A quick summary:

PROS:
- 2.0 LCD
- Long Battery Life (400 pic plus bef recharge)
- Picture Quality
- 32M Internal Memory
- Optional Manual Control (Various Shutter Speed with Limited Aperture Settings)

CONS:
- Boring Design
- Size
- Does not come with MS

BTW, DSC-S60 is the same as S90 except S90 has 2.5 LCD and come with rechargable batteries

Almost forgot to mention it. Sure you can try to get it for $255 like mahjongmaniac mentions in his posting (great posting BTW).

In case your local staples refuses to PM or gives you a hard time, don't go to FS. Buy it from SonyStyle online for $330 and you will get (a) $30 mail in rebate, and (b) Free carrying case. So it turns out to be a better deal than FS.

You're better off using the 30$ off 200$ online than attempting a PM online :D

Yeah. Got one. PM is really confusing with Stooples. :) Lots of emails going back and forth that make my buying experience an unpleasant one........ >:(

Is this a good deal?
I think I have 2MP (bought in Aug 2002), is it at an extremely good price, which is worth mentioning to my parents?

FYI, I found this coupon in the Bay from Sony. Additional $20 off if you buy this dig camera and either a 256M or 512M memory stick. The coupon does not seems to be Bay only and it also incl the S40, S60, & S90.
