starting TOMORROW, BB will be selling the HP F1905 19" LCD for $550, less a $60 USD = ~$50 CAD MIR; stooples online is currently selling the same for ~$620, less the SAME $50 USD = ~$60 CAD MIR.

so if u want it:
1) go to stooples B&M instore TODAY and buy the item at REGULAR price
2) return to stooples B&M on FRIDAY w/ BB flyer/printout in hand and claim a PM on item
3) Do NOT try to PM this before the sale takes effect on FRIDAY! Follow the above directions!

(>>> sorry greenieweenie, i kinda "copied" ur format of PMing steps again... hope u don't mind ;) )

BB ($550): HP F1905 19" LCD Monitor (http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0926INGFS10059443&langid=EN)

BB's $50 USD MIR: http://www.bestbuy.ca/Rebate/rebateform.asp?RebateID=1277810059443&logon=&langid=EN

stooples (~$620): Hewlett Packard F1905 19" Flat-Panel LCD Monitor (US$50 mail-in rebate!*) (http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?CatIds=,&webid=600974&affixedcode=WW)

stooples' $50 USD MIR: http://staples.rebatestatus.ca/tearpad/060929_07102005.pdf

http://www.bestbuy.ca/multimedia/products/large/10059443.jpghttp://www.staples.ca/ENG/images/products/ca600974_1_enl.jpg

so after PM it'll be ~$515 + tax for an HP 19" LCD!

BUT, remember that u can use COUPONS!!!! :D (plz refer to below for choice of coupons + description ;) )

in THIS case, even after the PM price the subtotal is still >>$400... thus i believe u *should* be able to use TWO coupons....the $30off200 coupon AND $20off200 coupon.... and after the coupon discounts ($50), subtotal should be ~$465 + tax!!!

BUT, remember that on top of that, there's a $50 USD MIR = ~$60 CAD... so AFTER MIR, it comes down to only ~$415 + tax for an HP 19" LCD!!! :D

ok... again, i do NOT make any claims that the above :arrowu: stacking of coupons + a PM will work out... so plz don't flame me if it doesn't ... :lol:

but anyhoo, the price is pretty good if u can get it to work out.......

Is this PM and monitor better than the Samsung u post earlier?

honestly, i dunno (yet) :lol:...

been posting enuff PM threads for today... so if ur interested in buying, go figure! ;)

j/k.... ok, the price (***IF*** u can get everything to workout) is definitely better than the samsung... lol... but as for the specs... u can do the comparison:

Samsung 930B 19" LCD:

The Samsung SyncMaster 930b is a 19-inch analog and digital TFT-LCD offering a 700:1 contrast ratio, 300cd/m2 brightness, 1280 x 1024 resolution, 160/160 degree viewing angle.

* Features: Viewable Image Size: 19"
* Brightness (Typical): 300 cd/m2
* Contrast Ratio: 700:1
* Viewing Angle (H/V): 160 / 160 (CR>5)
* Interface: Analog/Digital
* Horiz. Frequency: 30-81
* Max/Native Resolution: 1280 x 1024
* Emissions Standard: TCO '99
* Special Features: Built-in power supply, MagicColor, MagicTune , MagicBright II

3-year Manufacturer's Warranty.

Features:
Screen Size 19"
Actual View Size 19"
Dot Pitch 0.294mm
Resolution 1280 x 1024

compare w/ the HP specs/features from above (original post)

>>>from what i see thus far, the samsung is better in terms of contrast ratio 700:1 and has an extra 2yrs mfr's warranty compared to the HP 450:1 contrast ratio and only a 1yr mfr's warranty....

but u should base ur "purchase decision" on YOUR OWN needs and what YOU prefer.... ;)...
the price is definitely good for the HP 19" LCD but remember, there's a $50 MIR and the samsung doesn't... (but no worries for stooples MIRs as ur likely to get urs, and pretty quickly too, compared to FS/BB)

EDIT: on a 2nd thought, u can also consider buying extra warranty for the HP 19" LCD at stooples to extend warranty period.....

This monitor isnt really that good. I've seen it at Best Buy for the last few months. I would much rather stick with the BenQ T903 that is posted in the forums at a good price after coupons.

interestingly enuff (and somewhat surprising), thus far, stooples has NOT dropped their online price to match BB's price... LOL
