August 22 - August 28 Costco US coupon:

Sceptre 37" 16:9 HDTV ready LCD TV with HDMI 1920 x 1080 resolution built-in tuner and speakers, item 896288, $1999.99 - $250 coupon - $50 MIR = $1699.99 www.costco.com only (not .ca)

Now I know this is a US deal, but I'm sure we'll get something close.

BTW, is there a way to get Costco to deliver this to Canada?

Just a heads up for people that are looking for a 32" lcd or 42" plasma.
This won't cost much more and its full HD resolution.
Westinghouse has a similar product currently available, BenQ's and Sceptre's should be out at about the same time.
I know these aren't considered name brand, but if they work out then great! If not, return.

There's tons of information on AVS Forum about these. I don't think the BenQ is actually available yet but should be shortly.

Don't kid yourself, this ain't Sharp or Samsung, but for a budget LCD these are all good choices.

The easiest way to get the Sceptre is to drive to a Costco in the US and buy it and bring it back (aren't Costco memberships good everywhere?) - even test it in store first.

From what I've read it not only is possible to use your Costco membership in Canada and the US, but it apparently is possible to return it to any Costco store. I would not want to try that before checking with my local Costco first, though.

Any store in the WORLD is my understanding. (Costco store that is!) Not sure how many they have outside North America but nice to know if you're shopping overseas.

Just checked. They have stores in:

Canada
Japan
Korea (I'm guessing South)
Mexico
Puerto Rico
Taiwan
United Kingdom
United States
