Hi,

My sis got accepted to these universities and doesnt know where to go.
Here is the link for the Criminal Justice at Ryerson http://www.ryerson.ca/ualca/programs/criminal.html and another link for Criminology at York http://www.yorku.ca/web/futurestudents/programs/template.asp?id=369 . Anybody goes to one of these schools? Please, tell me about your experiences, thoughts and any disadvantages.
My sister needs to make a decision soon.

Regards,
Kate

My friend is starting Criminology at York in Sept. He's hyped.

I'd think York is a better school for something like Crim. Ryerson is more of a technical school. I'd think Crim has many similarities to Soc/Psych, and I'd think York is more rounded in that area.

However, Crim at York is very new. I don't know how old the Ryerson program is.

In the end I'd still choose York (I never thought I'd say this... rofl)

One of my friend is in Criminology at York and from that look of it, I would choose that over Ryerson. He seems to have a lot of free time on his hands and if he doesn't want to go to the lectures he can always watch the live streaming video lectures online. So he's always in his basement :S

i think it depends, if you are studying white collar crime go with York so U can see your fellow Yorkers before they endup behind bars.

If U R studying typical physical crimines, go to Ryerson so U can study the criminals on the street as U pass by em on your way to klass
