Hi there,

I need help, how do I remove hard to remove stickers from, you name it, without damaging the item itself. I got this nasty sticker tag on my Xbox cases that I can't get rid of it. :| I try to peal the darm thing off and now it looks horrible (I should have just left it).

By the way, I don't want to use anything involve heat. *lol* I try that and melt anything that is plastic. I did get the sticker remove, but kinda pointless after that point.

Hi there,

Goo gone? Is that actually a brand. I better take a look into it. Lighter fluid? Isn't that oil? Will any oil work? Hope they are easier to clean. *lol* Washing cases isn't good, stupid water spots. :(

Goo-gone like some already suggested. You can also use some rubbing alcohol. Just moist the sticker and peel it while it's still wet. It works really well peeling sticker that way. Goo-gone is better to take care of the residue though if you've already peeled it

I have used Goo-Gone to remove permanent marker from a bike that I was certain would never come off

That will do the trick like you wouldnt believe

Check a Crappy Tire, HD, Rona, etc.

CTC for sure has it - Thats where I got it

wd40 works well too, and can be found pretty much anywhere.

if the sticker isnt peeled off yet, heat it up with a hairdryer then attempt to peel. often this will weaken the glue enough so that you can pull it off cleanly. if residue remains, use goo gone, as already suggested.

i was going to suggest this. wd40 takes away anything sticky, works wonders. the after smell is ugly, but thats easy to get rid of.

A few years ago I did a website for a label printing company and alot of labels are made to be put on... permanently! Some labels will not come off with anything, other just break into little bits, others leave a mark like "VOID" or similar. If goo-gone doesn't work probably nothing will.

use paint thinner. wet the label first and wait a min
then remove . really easy.

Personally, I just use a piece of duct tape to get rid of the leftover gunk. Stick it on and rip it off at an angle, repeat until it's all gone.

I use a hair dryer. Just heat up the sticker and while peeling heat the stick side.

The hair dryer set on low wont melt plastic.

Mayonnaise is supposed to work as well. You have to leave it on for a few minutes to sink in, and then you should be able to scrape the sticker off easily.

Acetone (nail polish remover) may also work. WD-40 is good too.

P.S. Always dab a bit on a hidden spot first to see if it discolours/bleaches the item.

I always use 90% + rubbing alcohol . leaves no residue. just dabb it on, wait a 15 seconds and rub off.
