My friend got a pop-up from a website he went to and the popup gave him a claim number and a 1 888 number and he called them, he was told he won a 16days/15 nights vacation worth around $15000 and they said all he has to pay is about $1300 to claim the vacation and he gave them his name credit card number and expiry date. And they said the credit card info is for verifying info. And gave him this website www.rtavacations.com , he's kinda scared it might be a scam so wondering if this is a scam or a legit?

For only $599 the good members here at RFD can clear up this little problem for your friend - he'll save over $700!!!!!
Just get him to put the cash into the CD slot on his computer...
(Be careful though - one bill at a time - so it doesn't jam.)

....well, since this is through the web, i'm not totally sure....
...but i know a friend that works for one of those companies that calls u up at home and tells u everything about this wonderful trip that you were "chosen" to receive and stuff, then in the end, asks for ur credit card info.....
...well, yes, i agree, that it does seem like a scam and all, but it's all just their way of marketing their business....and i guess it also depends on which company calls u up and asks for your card, either they're reliable or not....
...my friend told me that what you've been "chosen" to receive is actually some marketing strategy....to get you to go on the vacation at the super-low price, and hope that you'll help advertise them to your friends and all, and hope that in the future, they'll get more visitors that way.....
....what they're charging you is actually the "promotional fees" where it's the amount that they need to hire all the ppl and the pay the bills and all, and the actual price of the trip is mostly all paid for by the travel company......
...i actually remember getting a couple of these calls a while back.....but then, i just hung up on them and they never really called back....lol.

When you arrive in each destination, you will be invited to attend a no obligation 90 minute resort tour. There are fantastic incentives and gifts available for touring each property. Many resorts offer a complimentary breakfast, lunch or dinner during your 90 minute tour. 60% to 70% of our customers willingly tour these properties and a percentage of those purchase. Some offers require a 90 minute no obligation tour in one or more locations. That is how we can afford to pass along to you the savings of quality vacation accommodations at discounted prices.
