View Full Version : Can I wait to activate my Telus Pay & Talk cell phone?

I just picked up a cheap Pay & Talk cellphone by Telus today ($60 at Staples, includes the activation kit with $75 in credits), and I was wondering if I have to activate it within a certain amount of time? The phone came bundled with the activation kit, and there are no dates anywhere on it or anything to tell me if I'm operating on limited time, or have eternity.

I don't really need it for the next month or two, so it would make more sense to wait and activate it later on. Do activation kits expire at all, or can I wait to do the activation and save some money? And live a couple more months until I have to start remembering to buy new cards and apply them monthly or bi-monthly...

Thanks in advance.

why not call telus for an absolute answer?

Because Telus wants me to activate now so they can start making money off me sooner, and I don't entirely trust their customer service, lol.

Thanks anyhow.

I don't think you have to activate it anytime soon.

But to be sure, maybe checkout www.howardforums.com under Telus?

I did email Telus, but of course I haven't heard back from them.

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out now! :)

You can probably activate it whenever you want cuz if the store doesn't sell all of them they will expire on the shelf.
