must be more wrong than your saying, you don't need overdrive to hit over 100 km\h. transmission is probably shot, if thats the case it kills the price otherwise if the transmission wasn't shot it'd be an awesome deal... those 6 cyl topazes are quick little cars

If it's a 4 speed auto, it's weird how it doesn't go up to 100km/h. My parents used to have a car that only have 3 speed auto and it can go as fast as 140km/h. Anyways, free bump for a car with low mileage (comsidering the model year)

thanks for your input..
the problem with RFD is this..
if the price is just right, people find it too pricey.
if the price is great, people automatically assume that there is 'something' wrong..
the car is in a good shape.. price is low because i need to sell it like 'NOW'..
transmission is 1 year NEW and yes, it is an awesome deal..
i do not know why the car doesn't go over 100km/h but i was told it has something to do with 'overdrive'..
car might be sold tonight, if not, i'll keep you updated..
thanks,
kocur

but you dont understand the car SHOULDNT need OD to go over 100km/h there must be some underlying problem (its probably a small probem) go here: www.automotiveforums.com and post the topic and see what they say

Actually if it costs $650 to fix the problem, this guy still pays $700 for the car, just to 2 people instead of 1.
On the plus side, if u can't go over 100km/h, you will get better gas mileage.

bump...nice car....well..w/o OD doesn't really mean it can't go over 100km/h...it just depends how your gear box is setup...the gear ratio and stuff....i can keep this car at a high rpm and i am sure it will reach 100km/h even w/o OD....it might just be a waste of gas...but in the other hand, if you don't want to get a speeding ticket or u just simply dun drive on hwy...its a great car....no OD can be just some small problem to fix sometimes..
