Opinions of this FS Whirpool washer/drier

FS has this combo on sale in their flyer, the Whirpool LHW005PQ and the YLEW0050PQ for $1499. We don't need anything with fancy controls, since we'd never use them, just something basic that will last and not be too loud. Opinions, or do you own one and have a comment?

Okay, I kind of figured it was a long shot.

i like the internal heater thing that boosts the water temp, that is nice.
dyer is sizable at 3.8cu ft. nice. not too fancy but looks like they will get the job done and a bit more.
wife and i will probably be going with either whirlpool or ge appliances for our big house move next month, we are just researching models and what not.

As a former seller of Appliances at futureshop, you might want to look around for the best price on the specific product.

But also, if you are going to buy appliances, please please please buy the extended warranty from them.

It saves you alot of money.

They will fix it 3 times and the 4th you get a brand new model of the same product at no cost.

We had problems with our fridge, everything on the top shelf was freezing.

Insulation was a problem.

they fixed it twice same problem. 3rd time they replaced the whole insulation so the freezing cold air doesnt totally get through.

We still have 3 years and if the same problem happens again, we get a new Fridge.

ahh thats my rant that always buy Extended warranty on appliances.
But i would check sears if i were you first before jumping to FS.
