Murray Head! Yes, thanks, that's who sings it! :)
I love the 50's and 60's music as well. Lots of good ones there, too, just depends on the mood you're in as to what you want to listen to.

I'm trying desperately to think of a really great 80's song; one they always played in the bars, and it has such a good beat, and the lyrics, from what I recall, [main ones] are of a guy with a great voice, singing 'How do I feel...' and he keeps repeating that over and over. Anyone know? {TIA}

Edited to add; whoops,I see I had a typo - spelled One night in Bangcock wrong. Missed the G! :cheesygri

Man, anything Michael Jackson did in the 80s was great.

AC/DC's "Back In Black" album was released in 1980, although it does have a 70s feel to it. That is probably the album I've listened to most in my life.

Ha ha, I'm an idiot; when I looked up 'Murray Head' on the net, many listings, with the word Bangcock came up, so I thought that was how the song was supposed to be. Whoops. My bad! ;)

Are you sure you are not confusing it with "We are the World" which was sung by many artists coming together to help Africa in it's time of need?

Do you guys remember the mail propaganda in the 1980's from "Columbia House" offering 50 CD's/cassettes for .99 cents? But then you got a bill for $450 for being a "member" of their .99 cent club, it was the same bullcrap as buying the CD's for $10 each. Anyways, since the moment CD burners and Napster came out Columbia House mysteriously disappeared from the face of the Earth :razz:

Common mistake, but Popmuzic was performed by a group called "M". It was tempting for me to cut and paste my fairly large 80s list on here but I will spare you all. I have just found a link that has lots of these artists AND the lyrics from the late 70s through to the year 1999. Now you can look at some of the songs you thought you knew the words to, or at least use the lyrics to identify the songs you have been looking for for years. Have fun with this site

I love my billboard collection. Top 100 hits, which I have from 1947 to 2004.

1980 to 1989 = 100x10 = 1000 Songs of pure 80's and each of them a top hit. I could copy and paste all kinds, but a lot of others have already posted some great ones.

My fave year: 1987 - "Joshua Tree" by U2 and "Graceland" by Paul Simon. Two landmark albums.
