So I just found out that there's some downloadable content for Wipeout Pure. It's one new track and ship to race. It's about a 3mb download. You can either download it through the game, although that wouldn't work for me or you can do it through Wipeout's web site: http://www.wipeoutpure.com/
You'll need ot have your PSP connected to your PC when downloading this as it goes straight onto the PSP.
Also, I was checking thenetwork update and it said that it found an update so I'm downloading it now. Not sure what's in the update and if there are any newfeatures, will update once it's done. Oh, and that's a 14mb download I think. Also, just so you know, you need to have the AC adapter plugges in otherwise the update won't install.
Still now sure what's in this update although I hope it's a nice suprise (although it's probably a security update to stop some of the hacks going on).

Excellent! Sure... just after I post in the other thread how bored I am with Wipeout cause there wasn't much left to do, more tracks get added.
Not sure about the firmware update. Can't seem to find any news on it but if I can find something I'll post it. Or let us know what changes you find when it's done. 1.51 can't be much... just sounds like some fixes. Too bad it's not the browser we're all hoping for
EDIT:
Okay the word is that 1.51 is just a 14 meg security update. No new features or anything. And they just cracked the code to 1.50 so homebrew apps will soon be run off 1.50... Surprised Sony decided to update now? There's an SNES9X emulator out for PSP HERE (http://www.psphacker.com/2005/05/snes9x-for-psp.html#comments) but the problem is it only works for PSPs with firmware 1.0. But now that they cracked 1.50 firmware, it should be only a matter of time before we can run homebrew apps off our PSP.
So my opinion? Don't bother with the firmware update if you want to be able to play an emulator on your PSP anytime soon. Oh and there's also speculation that 1.51 may prevent you from using the Wipeout Browser but no one's been able to test it yet so it's unconfirmed.

There's no way in hell I'm upgrading the firmware until they force me to :)
I'm glad they cracked the 1.50, I can't wait to run snes9x on it.

If they manage to emulate NeoGeo on the PSP with full speed (0 frameskip), sound and 100% game emulation... I'll kick myself to buy one! :) Last Blade and Metal Slug series would rock on the PSP.

I doubt they will. They'll probably only get as far as getting SNES and Genesis (plus their 8bit predecessors) going smoothly. Then again they did somehow manage to get PS2 to play NeoGeo CDs.

Well... PSP is more powerful than the Dreamcast and some coder managed to almost get full speed on a NeoGeo emulator... it's pretty awesome. PSP is so new though... will probably take a few years to expliot the hardware.

doubtful, Sony will probably introduce another firmware update and will require games to only run on systems that are using that version like they did in Japan recently.
