Psp Question: Lumines Or Wipeout Pure

Just a quick and easy question. I plan to buy a PSP game but don't know which one to choose. Regardless of what types of game I like, which one would you choose. Luminues or Wipeout Pure because I'm indifferent to either one and I'm having a hard time choosing. Any help would be great. Thanks!!!

I'd say Wipeout Pure as it's a great game, although I've always been a fan of the Wipeout series so I knew what to expect from the game. Also Wipeout Pure is also a good showcase for what the PSP can do, as is Ridge Racer.

I have Lumines, and I think it's a pretty good game. Once you start a game, you won't want to stop. My Wipeout Pure is on it's way, so I haven't tried that yet. I think either way, you can't lose. Alot of people seem to like both these games. I think you really have to take into consideration which one you think you'll play or enjoy more. Or, if you have the funds, get both from Amazon (Wipeout $32, Lumines $40), then use a $10 coupon, bringing it to $62 plus tax for both! :D

This is what I was thinking. I want to buy a game to show off the systems abilities but I also want a really fun addicting game. And I know wipeout pure can show off the PSP's abilities but Lumines has that gameplay.

Get both. Although, Lumines does get boring after a while. It's not as addictive as Tetris.

Hmm if you want to show off the system's power then definately go for WipeOut. Lumines is fun and the music is excellent but it doesn't showcase anything that the PSP can do. I got sick of Wipeout pretty quick, once you master it and complete all the tracks there's really no replay value.

I wish I could get both. I spent too much money on games these days so I have to cut back and have to start saving up for PS3 after hearing how much it might cost.

Go with Wipeout first, and borrow (or rent) Lumines. Lumines is a puzzle game and like most puzzle games, you either love it or you don't. A few of my friends loved it, I didn't. Wipeout on the other hand has huge replayability (especially with Multiplayer) and with the web browser hack it's a must-have.

Thanks for all the input!! I went with Wipeout Pure because I saw they're gonna be putting out new tracks and just put out a new track so that's pretty cool and I played the demo for Lumines and it's a fun game but I can see myself getting bored of it after a bit so I might as well go with a game that shows off the power of the PSP. I can tell you that it ain't no bejeweled. Now that was a fun addicting game.
