Wasn't this on GC? I thought I played it for a few hours. Looks the same and most likely feel the game in gameplay. Boo.. and I'm a PS2 owner.

Cube version. Definitely better than the PS2 version. Colours are more rich and textures are better.

no this is the first time that screens of the PS2 build have been released. thankfully there is a lot of time left so hopefully they can tighten up the graphics

Hm was there any general screens released because the screens really look familiar. That looks like PSP or N64 grapics, im really wondering why they released these screens.

Those textures on the PS2 are god-awful! I thought they could do better than that :( All you PS2 owners who don't have a Cube, you definately have to pick this game up or at least rent it when it comes out. It's the first game since the original RE1 back on PSX to give me the creeps (Fatal Frame series aside..)

Looks like the Sony fanboys will finally see that the NGC is actually far more powerfull than the PS2...it's actually almost as powerfull as the Xbox. If developers would take the time, all of those multi-system games would look almost identicle to the Xbox version instead of the NGC being the worst looking one...STUPID LAZY DEVELOPERS!

That's how it generally is though... I worry abou the next gen consoles as they are so damn powerful (on paper) that developers will get so lazy and just code garbage. RE4 is an awesome game... I've only rented though... waiting for it to go $30 (players choice).

You can trust Capcom as they don't just release garbage. Resident Evil 4 was tested and polished to death before it got released.

It doesn't look too bad, though I won't be re-purchasing it again just for the extra features (and downgraded graphics). I'm glad I own the Cube version. :)

Agreed, GC RE4 was to me the best game of this Generation. PS2 RE4 looked like ass..hope it improves but i'm not betting the house on it.
