simultaneous release date for september 13th in north america (september 14th in japan).. i believe it will be both on UMD and DVD.. it's gonna be great :D

I think I'll pass on the trailer for now. All these trailers being released just makes me want to see the movie more...sure doesn't help.

Anyways, seems like this project is taking forever to complete. I remember the release date was supposed to be sometime in 2003...2 years later...and still nothing. Well at least now we have an exact date.

Yea im gunna pass the trailer as well, I hope it turns out to be a real good movie tho :D

As for the reasoning behind rescheduling the date, I think you should be more happy than sad.

This movie was actually not supposed to be a movie, I dont think it even is a movie even now...this was actually just supposed to be a video full of clips that was supposed to only last 30 minutes. However, they just couldn't end it there so what happened was that it turned out to be 70 minutes!

So as far as I know, its 70 minutes long now because of that delay, now it could turn out to be longer when its released and also turn out to be a complete movie. But from what I have heard, its just supposed to be a buncha video clips put together. :/

I bet they're secretly working on FF7 remake for PS3 but it won't come out for a few years.

Yeah they'd be pretty stupid not to. Especially considering how many peoples jaws dropped when they showed that "Technical Demo" using FF7. Hopefully they're also doing a Chrono Trigger remake after forcing those guys to shut down their fanmade remake.

I agree,

they really should remake FF7, ive never been able to finish it because of the graphics which just screw up my mood to play the game :/ but if they remake it, I think more people will play it now because of more realism and an excellent storyline.

They better also make more series on the ps3 for Final Fantasy! I wanna play more ff games lol.

i believe that advent children is going to be a complete movie.. with a plot and all, not just clips put together. :) there's a plotline that is a little vague in the trailer, but it's there! :)

yes, originally it was only supposed to be a half an hour in length but i guess they've spent all this time making it longer and more complete.. i'm definitely looking forward to this.

with regards to actual game sequels to final fantasy 7, there are some already out in japan, but in the works for north america:

"Dirge of Cerberus" - set three years after FF7 (one year after advent children), where the main character that you play is Vincent Valentine. [PS2]

"Final Fantasy 7: Before Crisis" - i don't believe it has any of the original FF7 characters in it except for the Turks.. and it is a cell phone game. *sigh* [cell phone]

"Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core" - will most likely be a prequel to the original final fantasy 7, trailers show that Zack will be the main character, and Cloud and Sephiroth are expected to make an appearance.. details on this game are very scant. [PSP]

I have been waiting for this for more than 3 years..
