Hi,

Does anyone know what type of RAM laptops that run at 533mhz uses (i.e. Toshiba Tecra M3, LG LM70) and where I can get them? I've looked in the local computer store sites, but none carry PC4200 for laptop. I really don't want to spend the $200+ for a stick of 512mb @ 533mhz from the laptop manufactures....

TIA

533 is quad pumped bus for the memory bus.. so 133 x 4 = 533

so you just need ddr 266 mhz / pc2100 ... you could get 400 mhz / pc3200 as it's backwards compatible..

No, I think he is looking for DDR2 533Mhz / PC4200 laptop ram, for Sonoma-based laptops. Kingston, Corsair, and Crucial all make it. You can ask some places like NCIX or FrontierPC if they can order it for you. I think it goes for around $100 for 512MB.

I will order some when I order my Z71V soon (probably from Frontier), so I'll post back if I get the ETA.
