I did a search on RFD and found no official thread to talk on a weekly bases of these shows. Well now we do! :cheesygri

What did you guys think of tonight's episodes??

I thought they were better than last weeks...and a much bigger improvment for American Dad.

All I can say is "Ahhh GODZILLA!!!!!"

It just came out of nowhere.. talking about Quagmire's "problem" - chicken comes - fight! Indiana Jones spoof.. and then back to Quagmire's problem..

like sonik said, the chicken fight started in Season 3.. some dude dressed as a chicken offered him a coupon for a store, and he said "no way man, I don't accept coupons from chickens... not after the last time".. and it cuts to a scene where he has a coupon that has expired.. so he starts fighting with the chicken.. the first fight lasted just as long as this one did, but the chicken got away a-top a train.. so I guess this fight starts where that one left off..

Hold on there guy. You should get your facts straight.

First off, the chicken fight started in Season 2 in the episode titled, "Da Boom."

Secondly, there was no train involved. Peter and the chicken fought on top of a semi-trailer.

Lastly, the fight ended when they both fell out of an office tower window with Peter landing on the chicken. You could tell the chicken would be back since the chicken had an evil stare after Peter walked away into the sunset.

Sheesh, some people these days. :D

LOL I wished he repeated it or something after the chicken got chopped by the plane from Raiders of the Lost Ark.

It looks like Fox has a lot more confidence in Family Guy and American Dad now. They now plan to show the entire new run of Family Guy, plus they've ordered more episodes of American Dad.

From the futon critic:

AMERICAN DAD/FAMILY GUY (FOX) - FOX is moving forward with 13
additional episodes of each of the Seth MacFarlane-produced animated
comedies. The network had previously committed to 19 episodes of
"American Dad" and 22 episodes of "Family Guy," bring each series'
total to 32 and 35 episodes respectively. The news comes as little
surprise for both series as FOX asked for eight additional scripts of
"Dad" back in November (read the story) while 20th Century Fox
Television committed to "Guy's" full 35-episode production run as part
of its initial revival (FOX simply picked up its option to air the
remaining 13 installments). Overall, enough episodes of both series
should be in the can to last through the first part of the 2006-07
season.

Family Guy was alright, had some really funny bits but was too inconsistent. I know why we're getting so little Brian and Stewie (they get a 3-episode arc starting in 2 episodes), but the show's suffering without them.

American Dad is still pretty bland, but it's getting a bit better...by cribbing more and more of Family Guy's style. Not a recipe for long-term success.

Loved the part where Lois is telling Cleavland that he's not passionate, then she gets all worked up and says "Hit me!", pulls down her pants and Brian spanks her! Classic!

Loved the "cameo" by Emperor Palpatine too.

(Is it just me, or is Lois strangely hot?? ;) )

My fav part of the Family Guy was where Peter is trying to console Cleaveland, so he grabs his acoustic guitar. You think he's going to play some corny love song but he played "Rock Lobster". Loved that part!

We were at a party
His ear lobe fell in the deep
Someone reached in and grabbed it
It was a rock lobster

We were at the beach
Everybody had matching towels
Somebody went under a dock
And there they saw a rock
It wasn't a rock
It was a rock lobster

Motion in the ocean
His air hose broke
Lots of trouble
Lots of bubble
He was in a jam
In a giant clam

I found Family Guy had a more silly humour in this one, it sorta reminded me of the Simpsons the time that Homer got a crayola stuck in his brain through his nose...dunno why.

But I really enjoyed American Dad lol

Roger:"Why are you so mean Klaus?"
Klaus:"It's because I'm German"

later in the show...
