I know the DELL a920 is a clone of a lexmark all in one but which one?
Also I havent used this printer since sept, and now I think the ink cartridges are dry, do I HAVE to buy new ones, or can I make these ones work? Also where can I buy the cartridges locally?

Try printing a test page first to see if your ink cartridges still work. If you need to refill, your printer is aka Lexmark X1150 that was made for dell.

Honestly, unless the printer still works right now, consider buying a new inkjet printer - they're pretty affordable these days. The cost of getting a new cartridge is already half the price of a decent entry level printer that will perform so much better!

which one would you reccomend? Yes I tried printing a test page, nothing, I know for a fact the colour cartridge is full and the black is getting empty.

What ever is in your budget!
I would probably recommend a Lexmark since these printers give you the best performance to price ratio. If you are on a budget, BestBuy has the Lexmark Z615 for $49.99. It prints 22 pages per minute so it's a really fast entry level printer that gets the job done. In contrast your A920 does about 4.3ppm. If you want better quality, you'll be looking at $79.99 to $99.99 for either an all-in-one printer or a higher end inkjet. If you want to go for an all-in-one, the best one for the money is the Lexmark X6170. If you want just a quality printer and don't need the extra features of an all-in-one, go for the Lexmark Z816.
