View Full Version : Alternative to nostromo n52?

I've read that the nostromo n52 is a good product, I'm just wondering if there are any other alternatives (other than the thrustmaster tacticalboard - which looks pretty lame).
I was wondering if logitech has anything in the works as they seem to cater to gamers...mx500,mx510,mx518,console gamepads, etc... (and logitech usually makes products which are superior to the competition)... any word on new peripherals that will be shown at e3?

Razer (not the one you're probably thinking about) makes one, but I'm not sure how good it is. It would be nice if Razer (the other one heh) made one to go with the DB.

their was one called the claw but didn't have as many function capabilities as the speed pad. But worked better for guys with really big hands. As far as raser site shows they only make mice and acessories for them. Its hard to beat 3 rows of 5 keys plus 10 thumb keys and scroll of the speed pad, pricey but worth it I have the first model only 2 rows of 5 keys and no extra thumb key only the 9 plus scroll.

I've got the Nostromo n50 and it just collects dust on my shelf. Right now I am mainly using the Zboard (http://www.zboard.com) Gaming Keyboard from a Toronto based company. Although some of the buttons seem to be awkwardly placed, you get used to it after a while. It's actually pretty good. Check out the site: http://www.wasdsucks.com

nice concept but your right the keys look awkward and uncomfortable. main reason i went with the speed pad was the egonomics of it. Long bf fights without the aches. But cool idea anyway

I have an n50 and I use it a lot for BF1942 & AAO. My cousin has one too (I actually bought it for him, but for the good price I bought 2,) and he put it back in the packaging and uses a regular keyboard.
btw, ever play "Gnu vs Cops berlin" mod for BF1942? It has helicopters, rocket cars, & carbombs!
How much better is the ZBoard fantaz? I wonder if it would be worth an upgrade.
