View Full Version : Castrol 4 litre oil $5.00 at Wal-Mart

Wal-Mart is clearing out there 4 litre jugs of oil for $5.00 , that's just $1.25 per litre, better than CTC's 2 day sale price.
As it's a clearance, you will have to check your local store for stock. The 2 stores in Winnipeg that I shop at both had stock last night, but looked like it was selling fast.
I spoke to one of the clerks and was told that they are carrying the 4.4 litre jugs now, that is why they are clearing out the 4 litre ones.

Any idea what type? 10W40, 5W30... ?

I was able to find 5W30 at the WhiteOaks Walmart. Found at the end of aisle on an endcap, not much quantity available. 10W30 blend was also available. Good deal, thanks.

10w30 is fine in summer for most vehicles that ask for 5w30

Lots of people who do not want to waste money on a vehicle they do not plan to keep such as leased vehicles. Dino oil is more than adequate if it is good brand/quality and changed each 5K especially for the do it yourself person. You can do an oil change for $15 and your time which is like 20 minutes with the right tools

I use synthetic in my Spec V as I change every 8-9K cause I plan to keep the car for a while and I use dino in wifes car changed every 5K as it is a lease and will be returned at lease end for another. I change my oil myself and use CT 5W50 or walmart 5w30 synthetic

OH,NO,THE LAST TIME ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO I bought 8.xx for 4.4L 10w30,so I bought about 2 bottles 4.4L.
then I sas TIRE sold 1L FOR $1.49.
right now Walmart sells it cheaper more.
