Read the rules...no eBay links. You have to post an asking price if you want to sell here.

pretty sure this is a very stupid question... but this would only allow you to get output out of surround sound PC speakers from a console or DVD player, right? It won't actually be 5.1, but the stereo source duplicated all over the place out of 5+ speakers?
If that's totally wrong, tell me and I'll delete this so it doesn't mislead any potential buyers. Was just curious.

Didn't come with mine. Box lists it as optional accessory.

location: Toronto.
some logitech speakers come with the item... many don't. namely if you have the X530 speakers... they don't. some of the Z series ones do.
most of the logitech models list it as an optional accessory.
as for the sound. you would get stereo sound out of these speakers... as opposed to surround sound... the only difference between the 5.1 say using an optical/digital cable and this set up would be that... sound would play different in the left and right channels... except the front left would play the same as rear left... front right same as rear right. as opposed to front rear positional sound.
hope that helps.

its basically sound coming through all channels

yes... it is sound coming through all channels... which you wouldn't get if you just tried to buy a bunch of splitters and female minijack connectors.
but the sound is stereo. which is better than just "sound coming out of all the speakers".... it's still positional... which you wouldn't be able to get otherwise with your speakers hooked up to anything BUT your computer. (with a proper sound card to worsen it)
