Where do you guys get your pictures printed out?
I know Walmart is cheap but can you really trust the Quality?
RogersPhoto seems decent.
Blacks is Expensive but I dont know if their "Vivid Prints" will do wonders with my pictures as they'd like you to believe on their website. Is it really worth it to go get my pictures printed out there?

I'm planning on printing out some pictures at atleast 11x14 and have them framed and on display in my house. These things cost a lot so I want to get other people's opinion on who does a good job printing things out.

futureshop is the best in terms of quality IMO. prolly not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.

You can try http://www.easypix.ca

It's Shopper's Drug Mart's site. You can upload them and then pick them up at a Shoppers. It's 29 cents per print, and you can your first 10 prints free.

I ordered from them for the first time and I am gonna pick mine up soon :)

-I believe theres still the promotion going on where if you create a brand new account, your first order (with a max of 100 pics) is 19cents. Other people have said the quality is pretty good (theres another thread on this called "1000 optimum points" i think)

-So far i've only used FS prints, since the quality is really good. Theyre 29cents/pic

-I've recently ordered some prints from Snapfish, since they have 20 free pics & free shipping right now!. Others have also said the quality is quite good. Theres another thread about this deal, by jerryhung

Where are you located? Look in the Yellow Pages for a professional lab. In Montreal, I've gone to Royal Photo and Corlab. The latter is more expensive, but their quality is topnotch.

I've never tried having digital photos developed but i would like to now. Can you bring your photos to these places on a cdr? or do you have to have,in my case the compact flash card?

cd-r is fine. most places you can submit them online.

If you're getting small prints you can bring in your pictures on a CD or flashcard - if you're getting large prints at Black's, its best to copy the files you want printed onto a separate CD because they have to be developed off site and they send your CD along with your order.

Perhaps if you know a... ahemm... friend... who has Photoshop? Then you can really personalize the photos a lot, including enhancing certain portions only. What exactly do you need the extra attention for?

If you want to have your digital prints developped at Photolab (Either at Loblaws, the Real Canadian Superstore, Zehrs), a 4x6 print cost only $.25 cents. A 5x7 print will cost you $.99 cents and an 8x10, $2.99. hth.

Quality wise here is the order
1) FS
2) Costco
3) Loblaws
4) Snapfish
5) staples (poor poor quliaty, might as well not print at all)

Costco seem to have the best price/quality ratio.

Yeah, I really wonder how good Blacks' quality is compared to everyone else...actually they're currently running a promo where their 4x6 Vivid Prints are 25 cents, if you print a minimum of 50 pics...

I agree with that.. i've had numerous free prints for FS and they've been nothing but good.

I recently went to have a research at SnapFish.com and I only heard little about that site. Beware though, a 4x6 print cost $.24 cents Canadian Funds (converted from $.19 cents US Funds) each. (Actual Pricing in US funds for other photo measurements can be founded here: http://www.snapfish.com/helppricing) I got that converted amount from the XE.com Universal Currency Converter at www.xe.com/ucc.

Last year whe nI wanted ot get my pics from Italy printed I took a dozen pics to FS and the same dozed to Henry's. Henry's was 50 cents per 4x6 (although it would only be 39 cents if you place your order online) and FS was 29 cents each. I was suprised to find that Futureshop did a way better job on the colours. In fact Henry's was way off. I will admit that Henry's pics did look just the slightest bit sharper but I couldn't get past the colours.

I ended up getting my 400 some odd pics done at FS, cost me about $115 with tax.
