People who play music as their voicemail - lame?

This is so childish. I hate people who play music for 2 mins and you have to wait to leave a msg.

I have a friends voicemail like this.

"Hey hold up..."

Full enimen song plays

"Ok you can leave a message now"

It was the usual routine, and at the end he says "telemarketers can drop dead".

I also love the ones that have a guy who can't speak english...makes no sense at all. :lol:

voicemail needs to be "youve reach so and so, leave a msg" no need for music, movie effects, background noises. How do people expect people to leave msgs? lol or how about employers calling you back? lol

I hate voice mail. If you really want to leave a message, use an Instant Messenger (IM) or send SMS.

That has got to been the lamest thing I have heard. Thankfully I do not know anybody that does this. I would never listen to anything for 2 minutes before I could leave a message, I would just hang up.

When I had my cell phone I would record random movie/show quotes(short ones), my all time favourite was the quote from the Simpsons when Homer gets fat(warning: Wording may not be correct):

" 'Beep.' The fingers you have used are too fat. Please mash the keypad with your palm, now..." 'Beep'

Never happened to me since most voicemail messages can't exceed a certain time limit.

Mine allows you to skip music or the recorded message by pressing pound (#) and you can immediately leave a message. Pressing the button isn't that hard.
