First off, for those of you who do now know who we are or what we are doing let me explain. crLAN is a newly formed lan group in Campbell River British Columbia. We have approx. quaterly events in which gamers from anywhere are invited to come and join us for some serious overnight lan fun. While our last turnout was slim, only 15, we are hoping that as our reputation grows we can branch out and attract more patrons. Recently we found out that there is another big corperation Lan Event/Cyber Cafe that wants to enroach on our domain in the near future. We are determined that we had the land first as are making it our goal to give locals the best LAN expeirnce ever! The LAN is not limited to just Campbell River and the Comox Valley though. We have a few people coming down from Nanimo, so if there is anyone interested in coming, we can arrange a carpool to pick you up and drop you off. Anyways, heres some more information about the upcoming event.
With the coming of a new month, so comes the wondrous announcement that the next crLAN event has been scheduled! The set date is July 2-3 2005 the first weekend of the summer holidays. Doors will be open at approximately 5:30PM with gaming begining at 7:00 (This will be strictly enforced, we have given more than ample time for setup if you are not ready we will not be postponing), kickout the following day will be 10:00AM. The upcoming event will feature more games, more prizes, more fun and hopefully more participants! We have a whole slew of entertaining events planned out and a few challenges you will not want to miss. There have been many recent changes to the setup and structure of the LAN so expect the organized chaos to be a little less hectic than our first event. Pre registration is now open, so head on over there and reserve your seat. We are expanding our advertising radius into the Comox Valley and Nanimo, so expect seating to be limited. The prepayment option has also been set up and is functional. You can either do this online, with paypal or your bank account, or it can be dropped off at Discovery Computers in Campbell River. We encourage you to purchase some of our really cool crLAN paraphernalia, such as t-shirts, mousepads, case badges etc. Thank you all for your support, now get the word out and lets "get this party started".
