I want to buy a photo printer that has good quality and long ink life.
I need some recommendations because I havent done my research yet. I'm probably going to get a Canon brand printer. My budget is around $100 and I dont want to spend alot of refilling the ink. Quality isnt the biggest issue here, but near-photo quality is what Im looking for.

If Ink-jet can produce the same quality, I'm open to recommendations on ink jet printers. Any suggestions?

If you're looking to print your own photos, I'd suggest sending it to a commercial service such as Costco. It's cheaper in the long run.

High quality, low-price -- you can only pick one. Really good photo printers can cost $300-400 and up. And the longevity of the ink cartridges can e thrown out of the window if you are using it to print pictures. LIke eelfliw said, especially you are looking for only "near photo quality", go to a good corner lab, or costco
