I see them in my house all the time. They are kinda creepy to see running around in the basement, even more creepy to see scatter past the television during the night. They live in damp areas and rarely will they actually look to bite you. I don't think they have any poison in them, but I'd like to know myself ;) Believe it or not, they are actually beneficial in some ways as they eat smaller insects.

Last summer I caught a centipede, big ass spider, and cricket in my basement (where my room is) and stuck them all in a bottle together and watched them fight to the death. It was pretty funny. At first they did want to do anything and just stuck to the sides of the bottle, but then I shaked the bottle and got them together and it began. :cheesygri at the end I put some alcohol wipes in and the slowed right down.

I've seen them for years so I've gotten pretty used to it but I'd still like to find out where they are coming from. They are pretty tough too, standard bug spray does nothing to them.

Yea I see those things all the time. I heard my wife scream the other day because their was one in the bathroom sink, but she loves everything and didn't want me to kill it so I put my hand beside it and it started crawling up my arm..felt kinda neat actually. I just went outside ans brushed it off. Not sure if they bite or not, but it didn't bite me. I usually see them 4-5 times during the summer in the office also.

Yeah, those things are super fast. They can grow to be pretty big too. I'd rather deal with little insects and small bugs then deal with those things. Even spiders would be a better choice. If anyone has a good solution in dealing with these things, I'd like to know.
