What people don't understand is although you can buy OCZ Value VX or TwinMOS UTT AA4T RAM (and sometimes gamble for the right chips if you don't know where to shop) for $200 CAD cheaper than the real thing, you will NEVER get the most important thing that a RAM module could have -- and that is a lifetime warranty. OCZ will RMA your memory unlimited times forever, just as long as you stay at 3.5V or below. I have blown 2 pairs of TwinMOS UTT AA4T chips before I got a working 1GB DC Kit of TwinMOS UTT AA4T and an additional 1GB DC Kit of OCZ Value VX chips.
Long story made short, gambling = HUGE win or HUGE loss. The losses I have made to get the 2GB of OCZ VX-equivalent RAM that I currently have are slightly past the price of two 1GB DC Kits of the real thing at FULL retail price (not even this reputable seller's greatly discounted price). So, don't gamble unless someone is selling the RAM with the guaranteed chips and overclocking/stability results.
BUMP for you, bro.

RiP, I don't get it. Wouldn't all OCZ ram qualify for lifetime warranty? Whether purchased from retail store w/ receipt or off someone else?

I have a question. Would opening the pack and testing them out make them more or less valuable?
is that a rhetorical question???
Heres a question, hypothetically, if a person buys ram from nicx for 230, should they sell them on RFD for more?

You would have to ask that question of a person who bought the ram for that price.
