cliky (http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0665000FS10046235&catid=11126&logon=&langid=EN&dept=15)
EB games is 49.99 (US$)
Bestbuy is 59.99 (CAD$)
Futureshop is 49.99 (CAD$)
You can try to PM bestbuy and futureshop.. plus if someone live in Red Deer they can use the 5 dollars off coupon. If you live somewhere else, 49.99 is the best price that you can find right now =/
so PM at bestbuy 60-50 - 1 = 49 - 5 dollars coupon off at BB Red Deer = roughly around 44$
BTW watch this Guild Wars Cinematic movie, but i recommen you to hide your wallet/credit card before watch this movie - ftp://64.154.197.2/movies/GW_Intro_720x400.zip , or else you might be 49.99+tax poorer

I'm going to wait for the review and a couple of months so they work all the bugs out on these kinds of games.

If it's anything close to WoW then you'll be waiting a year until they fix all their issues

This has been live on their servers for 3 years already, very good even last year for the E3 free trial. No monthly fee, so the only problem might be the same as WOW if everybody and their mother buys this game in the first 2 weeks.

I played the E3 trial thing a while ago, wasn't too interested but since there's no monthly fee maybe I'll buy it when the price drops. :)

Thanks, I was looking for a low pricepoint to pricematch.
OT: EBgames Canada is supposed to be giving away copies of Lineage2 (Lineage2 has monthly fees) along with anyone who pre-ordered Guildwars (No monthly fees).
Its not a huge freebie, as you can download Lineage2 anyways, but at least you should get one month free with the box version. Warning, massive massive grind in L2, much worse than WoW.

you can download more movies from here (http://www.guildwars.com/gallery/movies/default.html). I recommand the first 3 movies.
Last time I check, pre-purchase the game for 59.99 and get the free Lineage 2. Pre-order can only get you beta events. The next and the last beta event will be the weekend right before the release.
It is good to see fs sells it for 49.99, I think I am going to PM EB.
What makes this game different from Wow is GW is streaming, you dont need to d/l any patches, everytime you log in you will automatically d/l the new files. And like the others say, it has no monthly fee and the expansion will be come out every 6~12 monthes.
I've been participating the beta for sometime now, I can say this game is veyr different than Wow, you can select the max lvl right from the begining and doing pvp or you can play rpg style from lvl 1, of course playing rpg style from lvl 1 will unlock some of the skills that weren't available in the begining. It is mission based(as oppose to Massively Multiplayer Online rpg) so I don't think it will be lag.

I bought the pre-order package from EB, so I should get the ithias bow pre order item. What I am wondering is will I only be able to get the item if i buy the release from the place i preordered from?
Since I already preordered and used the access key (cost me $5 deposit toward release price), I want to be able to pm for cheaper (at FS, BB?) than EB games having already deposited $5 towards it, and still get the EB in game specific item. Will this be possible?
EDIT: Nevermind, I'm better off buying from EB, No amount of PM right now is gonna exceed the $5 deposit I already spent.
Will Staples sell this game?
Hey, for all those RFDers who play GW, lets form the Red Flag Deals Guild, handle: [RFD]!!!! :cheesygri

I did pre-order from EB games as well, the in-game item is bound to beta key and to your account, since you used the beta key, you will have your in-game item even if you don't buy the game from EB games.
If EB games doesn't PM in the way I like it, I will refund my deposit and buy it somewhere else.
Yes, I am thinking about Staples.

There is a chance to refund the deposit if the fault is on EB games. If EB games doesn't have the game when it releases(e.g. out of order, have the game later than other stores), they must refund the deposit, since they promises that you will guarantee to have the game when you pre-order it.

Walk in to any EB games in Canada, pay full 59.99+tax up front, and get the Lineage 2 for free. It is what my flyer says. Pre-order only get you beta key, not free Lineage 2.

Actually, you can start downloading the game by installing the GW client in here (http://www.guildwars.com/downloads/clientdownload.html). All you need is a beta key, the beta starts April 15th - 17th.
the package doesn't contain much useful stuff, the folded poster, the manual which is outdated(it is printed few betas back), and a CD which contain the GW theme music, some pictures and the GW client which you can d/l from the internet. The only thing that is important is the beta key.
The pre-order in-game items are these (http://www.guildwars.com/products/preorder-items.html), you can only get it if you pre-order.

That's like asking is WoW worth giving up BF1942 for. They're different types of games.
But if you're bored of the game you are currently playing and the new game is fun then switch.
I was heavy into BF1942 and when WoW came out I switched to it, and am having fun.

No monthly fee for this game, that's worth the switch right there.

I just checked the FS website, with the purchase of GW, you get a free t-shirt. However, when i called FS about this, they had no clue ;/ . Anyone know if this is available for pre-order customers? Or will it be given out when we receive the actual game?

Bestbuy now has it for 49.99 also..
I wonder if they also have the free instore T-Shirt or online ecertificate though.
edit: I'm not even sure if they have the bonus cd that should be included, doesn't write anything about including the bonus CD on the site.
