September is the back-to-school month. Obviously, most students will want a laptop to bring to school instead of lugging around a desktop computer. It doesn't really make sense to buy a computer for September right now and not use it during the summer.

It is not exactly additional $100. It is the same promotion code as the one OP posted.

Deal comparison

Anyways, let's see

Latitude base $699
upgrade CPU and screen + $250
Extra 256mb ram from oem + $70
Random laptop case + $50
128M USB key + $20
Total = $1089

Inispirson base $1089
extra battery + $129
Total = $1218

The inspirson comes with compelte care but latitude has on site service. Inspirson has 10GB larger harddrive and some extra software while Latitude has a/b/g wireless. I think at the end both laptop deal is closed to each other, especially if you want the CPU upgrade. However, I wonder does the Latitude has better quality than Inspirson, even for budget model?

Note: Free battery is DEAD on Latitude, so this deal should be better now.

There is no floppy drive. It is just part of the description on the left.

Whats the difference between the two bags??
Is one like a school bag with the two straps? and the other you just hold by the handle/sholder strap?
