Solid as a rock with the Benq DVD+R. No coasters in about 40 DVD's yet. Good quality built and most important of all, recorded shows are of very good quality. No pixelation and jerking of the images during playback ( as seen in an Aspire AD-8091, refunded the next day).
# Playable discs: DVD/CD/CD-R/CD-RW/MP3, DVD-R/-RW (VIDEO), DVD+R/RW and JPEG
# Recordable discs: DVD+R/+RW
# Recordable time (on a 4.7 gigabyte disc):

* 2 Hours recording on SP (regular TV resolution) (Found BenQ to be 2hrs +20 min)
* 3 Hours recording on LP (VHS SP pre-recorded tape resolution)
* 4 Hours recording on EP
* 6 Hours recording on EP+
# Component/S-Video/Progressive Scan output

# Zoom
# Thumbnail display of recorded programs
# Playlist
# Trilingual on-screen display (English, Spanish and French)
# Title/Chapter delete
# Auto chapter marking
