I have a Sony DSC-W1 Digicam and there is a movie mode that can record at 640x480 at 30fps. Anyone here able to locate some information on how long I can record at the specs above with a 2GB and 4GB Memory Stick Pro? Thanks.

The W1 has the same, top-notch movie mode as Sony's top of the line DSC-F828 camera. The MPEG Movie VX Fine mode takes VGA resolution video (that's 640 x 480) at 30 frames/sec, until the memory card is full. This mode requires a Memory Stick Pro card. A 1GB Pro card can hold about 12 minutes of video at this quality. Sound is recorded along with the video.

I thought the max memory on this is 512megs? If you can go more I am happy... I love this camera.

every 128MB is about 5 minutes.
so that 2 gig is about 80 minutes. Or 1hr 20mins.
pretty good if you ask me.
Its nice to use a lil digital camera as a cam corder, cause teh video quality is actually very good @ 640x480 30fps
