Is the record industry polluting Limewire now with corrupted files too?
Anyone notice?

Actually 2 weeks ago, it seemed to be OK
I bet it's the RIA polluting the networks. Funny how the files can't be detected as corrupted earlier but only at the end of download.
Anyone have good alternatives where RIA hasn't infiltrated yet?

Damnit, I hate it when they do that because they're affecting Canadian downloaders, where it is... well... not illegal! I haven't had any problems with Limewire here, but I'm guessing this means that anything on gnutella network could be garbage now, so if you're looking for alternatives, don't go for another gnutella client.
One neat thing about Limewire is that you can use it to directly connect to friends - might be worth doing if you have similar interests in music with someone.

if that's the case, can't you just use msn instead?

i've actually found that peerguardian effectively blocks out all the junk. i dont download too much but i've noticed a huge difference with peer guardian switched on. :) google it, it'll work wonders.
