Free Stock Quotes via Telephone?

I'm heading out on a road trip across Canada & the US and wanted to keep an eye on my stocks but won't have access to the Internet on an "on-demand" basis.

I could look in the morning paper's financial section or find some Internet Cafes along the highway but I was wondering if anyone knows of a toll-free telephone service that provides a more convenient, close to "real-time" stock quote service so I could keep a closer eye on some of my more volatile stocks.

Your broker might have something that is automated that provides this service. Try calling them up and ask them.

You were right... it ends up that my broker does offer such a service (but they just happen not to promote it)
