One of my friends just told me his ISP
http://www.mycybernet.net
Suspended him because of heavy usage
but is an Unlimited internet service
NO CAP
So they suspended him and cut off his DSL sync
So he has to find another company now
and wait 5 to 7 days to get connected again
I heard of Rogers doing that. But on DSL ??? I haven't heard of it.

I've never heard of that company before...but I would guess the reason why the suspended the account is because they are a small business and they can't afford to be losing a few GB to some Joe's. Bell had a cap before, several years ago infact. They removed it because imo all the users were switching to Rogers (which back then didn't have a cap). I wouldn't be too surprised if Bell decides to reinforce that.

Then I switched to Sympatico and has be good since, no suspension so far either.

Really? Oh uh, I'm on mycybernet and I was recommending people for mycybernet. Can you ask how much your friend download on average?

One of my coworker were busted for downloading a movie and Sympatico threatened to cancel his account; and now that that Rogers is implementing their 60GB cap, Sympatico may follow suite (as mentioned above).
I, personally, don't think it's fair to make a home user pay a business subscription for downloading a lot. Sympatico apparently thinks 20GB (prior cap)a month is more than sufficient; but even moderate use without Bitttorent and P2P, that will get chewed up real fast.

He said the ISP complain about the UPLOAD, saying he share stuff thru P2P. But I don't believe he share more then download it. When a download is finish he always turns it off.
in terms of download, I would say 20GB or less a month.
