INFORMATION ON BOOK:

"This book has been BANNED and is getting extremely hard to get a hold of.

This book is like BRAND NEW and in MINT CONDITION!

This book has 200 pages of great reading. It also comes with 16 pages of photographs.

"Under The Mat: Inside Wrestling's Greatest Family", a tell all book by Stu Hart's daughter Diana Hart, with Calgary Herald writer Kirstie McLellan. This is a shocking, disturbing and maddening book. Hart pulls no punches, she mean mouthed everyone, talking about her mother's drinking problem, her father's financial matters and family problems, including her husbands drug problems, her sisters and brothers in laws various problems and last, but not least, her very public disagreements with her brother Bret.

Diana Hart's autobiography, "Under The Mat: Inside Wrestling's Greatest Family", is an eye-opener, to say the least. For your average fan, who maybe hasn't heard some of the family politics and been told gossip off the record, it is going to be downright shocking.

It is by far the best book I have ever read (I could not put it down). You will never see the Hart Family the same way again, and that is by no means a bad thing. Instead of keeping them on the pedestal, the youngest daughter has made them vulnerable and altogether human Diana's life with Davey Boy Smith, AKA The British Bulldog, makes up a big part of the book. We hear of the good and the bad, the romance and the pain. Reading about the money involved in Davey Boy Smith's initial jump from Japan to the WWF was fascinating, especially the tax implications that the family hadn't considered. Davey Boy's descent into drugs and brushes with death are chronicled and should be a lesson for anyone considering a similar lifestyle.

Some examples in the book are:

Ø Diana's father, Stu, can't go a sentence without saying "Gaddamit," has misplaced priorities, and can't turn down a good deal. He owned approximately thirty Cadillac’s, but resorted to the Salvation Army when getting his children clothes. This forced Bret to show up to school one day in thirty below weather wearing a pair of shorts.

Ø Bret Hart's paranoia: Bret is bitter as all hell at Vince McMahon, and wants to destroy him at the cost of the Hart family, to the point where he threatened to run Diana over with his car.

Ø Tom Billington, the Dynamite Kid is blamed for corrupting his cousin, and former tag team partner, Davey Boy Smith.

Ø Davey was a steroid abuser with an unsatisfiable sex drive who drugged Diana so he could anal rape her until she got hemorrhoids.

Ø Diana's mother, Helen, was an alcoholic.

Ø Owen is described as being pussy-whipped, avoided confrontations, and didn't jump ship to WCW at Bret's request because of Martha.

You will find yourself shaking your head again and again in disbelief. It's quite dizzying. Even Owen's widow Martha isn't let off the hook. Diana explains her take on why Owen and Martha got married, and talks candidly about the problems Martha brought into the family and why she has no part of the Harts today. About how Martha is a control freak, who likes to be victimized."
