desktop search you mean?

I installed it, but have yet to actually use it.. Don't really see the point, I don't seem to search for stuff on my pc that much I guess. New plugins could be cool though..

Fastest way to find an (outlook) email you have filed away somewhere. Worth installing it for the time saved when you need it.

I am on the other camp. It is a total waste of resources.

The popup blocker is not as good as the one provided by IE or Firefox.

If you use Firefox, they already have a Google search as part of their toolbar.

In fact all these toolbars are a waste of time. MSN, Yahoo etc.

I believe the OP was referring to Google Desktop Search, not the Google Search Toolbar.

I don't like how it constantly runs in the background. I like my computer free of unnecessary processes.

The thing I like about it is the ability to search through my vast archives of email (outlook is horrible for that). Works pretty good!

I didn't realize they release it. Maybe I should take a look.
